Once your proposal has been accepted, the next step is to check that the payment has been deposited into Workana’s Escrow.

Before you start working, it’s important to understand the next steps and make sure all the necessary conditions are met so you can work with Workana’s protection and receive your payment securely.
For fixed-price projects:
When the client selects your proposal, you’ll receive a notification confirming that it has been accepted. However, before you start working, there are a few important things to keep in mind:
- Confirm the Escrow payment: Even if your proposal has been accepted, you must wait until the payment is confirmed in Workana’s Escrow before starting work.
- Keep all communication on Workana: Do not share contact information or move communication to external channels. Keep all conversations and agreements documented in the project chat.
Once the Escrow payment has been confirmed, you can start working with Workana’s protection.
⚠️ Attention! Do not start working until the Escrow payment has been confirmed on the platform. If you start before the payment is confirmed, your work will not be covered by Workana’s Escrow protection.
Once you have completed the work, remember to document all stages, progress updates, and deliverables in the project chat.
When the client approves the completed work, they can release the payment. The funds will then be credited to your Workana account, allowing you to withdraw them using your configured withdrawal method.
For hourly projects:
Please note that if your proposal is accepted by the client who posted the project, you’ll receive a notification. You must wait until the client adds a valid payment method before you can start working.
- Once the payment method has been confirmed, you’ll receive a notification letting you know that you can begin working.
- As the client approves your logged hours, the corresponding funds will be released to your Workana account, allowing you to withdraw them using your configured withdrawal method.
⚠️ Attention! Remember to manually log your working hours in the Work Diary so the client can review and approve them. Also, make sure to document relevant materials and keep all related communications in the project chat.
⚠️ IMPORTANT!
- Hourly projects are not covered by Workana’s Escrow protection.
- Hours rejected by the client cannot be submitted for arbitration.
