What does it mean when a client adds me to “My team”?What does it mean when a client adds me to “My team”?
When completing a project on Workana, you may notice that you were added to a client’s “My team” section. This is done automatically by the system and does not imply any change in your professional relationship or your account on the platform.
What is “My team”?
“My team” is a Workana feature that allows clients to keep the freelancers they have already worked with organized. Every time a project is successfully completed, the system automatically adds the professional to the team of the client involved.
This makes it easier for the client to find you, since your profile begins to appear in an exclusive filter called “My team”, available only to them.
Does this change anything on my profile?
No. Being added to a client’s team does not modify your public profile, your account, or your visibility on the platform. You continue to work as an independent freelancer, with complete freedom to accept the projects you want.
Does this mean I was hired by the client?
No. Being part of “My team” does not represent a formal hire or an exclusive relationship. It also does not mean that the client will be able to send you tasks or projects automatically; any new proposal will require your acceptance.
Can I leave a client’s team?
Currently, there is no direct option to remove yourself from a client’s team. However, since this feature does not create any obligations or negatively affect your account, there is no reason to worry.
Does this offer any advantages?
Yes! Being on a client’s team may increase your chances of receiving new invitations, as it makes it easier for the client to find your profile and invite you directly to future opportunities, especially if your previous experience was positive.
