On Workana, clients are able to hire freelance professionals for their projects by paying for the work performed through our platform. However, effective immediately, this relationship may be taken off the platform, should the customer agree to pay a fee of “commission for voluntary exclusion" to Workana for having served as an intermediate, enabling the client to meet such professional through the platform.
You, as a customer, can make this payment at any time and then client and professional can continue their professional relationship in future projects outside the platform whenever they want.
If you wish to use this option, write us at, providing the following information: your name and nickname, your Workana username, the professional you wish to do business with and the project through which you got in touch with them.
After receiving your request, we will send you all the necessary information so you can make the appropriate payment. When such payment is successfully sent, you will receive a confirmation via e-mail, authorizing you to do business with that professional outside Workana’s platform.
The commission fee must be the greater of the following amounts:
- USD 2500 or
1 ) 15 % of the sum of amounts predicted for future projects between the parties (declared by the client in good faith)
2 ) The sum of commissions that Workana would receive or has received during the first 24 months of work between the two parties, plus an annual interest rate of 18% or the average of maximum applicable rate permitted, whichever is less, calculated from the first day the client makes a payment to the professional found through the platform.
If the client does not make the appropriate payments through Workana during the first 24 months of relationship with the professional and does not pay the fee agreed upon for voluntary exclusion either, they take full responsibility and agree to pay Workana whichever amount is greater of the previously stated options for voluntary exclusion.
