If you want to understand how other freelancers are pricing their services on Workana so you can make more strategic and competitive proposals, know that the platform itself provides this information in an organized way—but access to this data depends on your subscription plan. Check the table below:

View freelancers who applied for a project:
Here you will find a list of all competitors interested in the project who sent a message to the client, as well as their rank on the platform and whether they are recommended by Workana's own system
View freelancers selected for a project:
The client can select one or more freelancers they are interested in hiring, and those selected will be marked as “in negotiation”
View other freelancers' proposals:
You will not be able to access the proposal itself, but the system indicates how many freelancers have already submitted a proposal for the project
View the average proposal value:
In the upper-right corner of the freelancer list, you will see the average value of the proposals received for that project in the currency registered to your account
Step-by-step guide - How do I find this information?
-
Search for projects under Find Work > Projects matching my skills
-
When you access the information for the selected project by clicking the project title, you will already have access to the number of interested competing freelancers and the number of freelancers who have already sent a message. This information is found in the right sidebar under “Activities on this project.”
-
In the top bar, click “Competitor Data” to view all competitor information and the average proposal value
-
Here you will find all competitors for this project: photo, name, overall rank, rank in their field, whether they were recommended by Workana's own system, number of projects worked on, number of related projects, and number of repeat hires. The table shows all competitors, only those recommended by the system, or only those who are in negotiation (click the submenu to access the filter).
- In the upper-right corner, you will find the average proposal value in the currency registered to your account.
Tip: use the average value to negotiate intelligently
Knowing the average proposal value for a specific project is useful not only for creating a competitive proposal—it is also a great basis for negotiating with the client more confidently. If your price is slightly above average, you can justify it based on your experience and the differentiators of your service. On the other hand, if you want to increase your chances of being hired, aligning your proposal with the project's average value can demonstrate that you understand the market and are willing to work within the budget.
Remember!
The client does not choose solely based on the lowest price, but rather the person who conveys the most confidence and professionalism—and demonstrating that you researched the market before submitting your proposal is a major advantage in your favor!
