To guarantee the security of your projects and protect your funds, all communication, file sharing, and payments must take place exclusively within Workana. Requesting or sending personal contact details or proposing transactions outside the site violates our security rules and may result in the suspension or permanent closure of your account.
1. What information is not allowed to be shared? To maintain a safe and transparent working environment, you are not allowed to request, send, or publish the following contact details on the platform:
- Emails.
- Phone numbers or messaging links (such as WhatsApp, Telegram, or Skype).
- Links to external virtual meetings (Zoom, Teams, Hangouts, etc.).
- Profiles on social or professional networks (such as LinkedIn, GitHub, or Facebook).
- External portfolio links (please note that even a direct link to Behance is prohibited within the project chat).
Only Exception: This exclusivity rule does not apply to projects that are being managed directly by Workana's official recruiting team.
⚠️ Important security note: Workana may contact you via WhatsApp, but will only do so from official and verified corporate accounts. All legitimate communication, transaction, and project management will always take place on our official website: www.workana.com. Never share personal information or passwords outside the platform.
2. The 2-year exclusivity rule All business relationships between clients and professionals that start on the platform must continue to develop exclusively within Workana for a minimum period of 2 (two) years from the completion date of the last project they shared.
3. Why is it prohibited to pay or work outside the platform?
- Absolute loss of guarantee: When working or making transactions outside the platform, the Escrow deposit loses all validity. If the freelancer does not deliver the work or the client does not make the payment, our support team will have no records of the conversation or the deliverables and will not be able to step in to help you or process any refund.
- Exclusive use as a payment gateway: Workana must not be used solely as a payment method. Projects where funds are released without real communication between the parties or deliverables matching the progress in the chat will be canceled and the money refunded to the client.
4. Penalties and consequences on your account The system automatically monitors and detects attempts to exchange external data. If our team confirms a policy violation, we will apply the following measures:
- For Clients: Any project or job post containing contact details or external payment methods will be immediately removed from the site. Repeated violations of these policies will result in the permanent closure of your account.
- For Freelancers: The minimum penalty for a first violation is a 15-day suspension from sending proposals. In cases of serious violations —such as bypassing site commissions, plagiarism, manipulating reviews, or repeating offenses— your account will be permanently and immediately closed.
Final warning: If your profile is terminated for violating community guidelines, you will not be allowed to open a new Workana account under any circumstances.
