When you post a project on Workana and hire a professional, you agree on a budget for the work.
During the course of the project, additional tasks may come up that were not included in the original budget.
With Direct Payment, you can agree with the professional on an additional amount for these tasks and make the corresponding payment easily.

⚠️ Please note that Direct Payment should not be used to pay for an entire project. This option is intended only for additional payments that may arise during the development of a project that is already in progress.
To make a Direct Payment, go to the profile of the professional you hired. Once there, you’ll find the “Send Direct Payment” button in the bottom-right corner.
⚠️ On the next page, Workana will let you know that you’re about to make a Direct Payment and that this type of payment does not constitute a new hire and is not covered by the Workana Guarantee.
For this reason, we recommend using it only for additional payments related to a project that is already in progress, and making sure you trust the professional before making the payment or that you have already received the corresponding work or materials.
Next, you can enter the amount you’d like to send and choose your preferred payment method from the options available in your country.

⚠️ This type of payment is not covered by the Workana Guarantee, so you cannot request a refund if a dispute arises between the parties regarding the amount paid through Direct Payment.
Another option available on Workana for making an additional payment is to create a project extension and include the additional tasks there.
Since it is a continuation of the original project, the amount will be covered by the Workana Guarantee.
